Deforestation

In mid 2015 Cooke received a generous Pollack Krasner Foundation Grant  for a years research around the issue of deforestion with New Zealand's Kauri and Beech forests. This led to a full 10 years of work around the subject of deforestation including concepts of regeneration, the desert and fire. A number of series came from this 10 year  exploration including Long Hee Lee, A Songless Land, Silva Inferno, Deep Time and Ghost Oak.
