The Paradise Project

The Paradise Project, Sue Cooke, MDF, Plywood, Silica and Acrylic, H 3,000 mm x W 5,000 mm x D 9,000 mm. Exhibited Sarjeant Gallery, 2013. 
The artist was inspired to make this installation by a concern for the environment after visiting Paradise Harbour on the Antarctic Penninsula.
It is important the pristine nature of the Antarctic is sustained, the artist's concerns are about the world's effect on Antartica and Antarctica's effect on planet earth.
